Hi everyone.  My name is Carlos Dolendo and this is my first time to blog.  I work as Chief-of-Staff to Jeorge "ER" Ejercito Estregan, the maverick Governor of the Province of Laguna.  I started back in June 2010 when Gov ER won the elections and became the 17th Governor of the Province of Laguna.  I used to work for the famous Action Star Ramon "Bong" Revilla as his chief-of-staff when he was vice governor and governor of Cavite.   Funny thing is, i'm neither from Laguna nor from Cavite.  I'm from Metro Manila.  I guess you can call me a Professional Chief-of-Staff.

So what does a COS do for the Governor? Everything he wants and needs.  well, almost everything. I don't do his laundry.  Seriously, my responsibilities ranges from managing the daily activities of the Governor's office including the Governor's schedule to coordinating with all other provincial government departments ensuring all programs conform with the Governor's 15-point Program of Governance "ERK2 Kinse Kumpleto Serbisyo Publiko Kontra Kahirapan, Gutom, Kawalan ng Trabaho at Korapsyon". While my job entails a whole lot more of other functions, i basically make sure that the Governor is always well prepared and briefed before any meeting.  Its my job to make sure the Governor is comfortable in any given situation.

So after almost t 2 years and 3 months on the job, i find myself writing my very first blog.  i have been thinking of setting up my own blog site but never really had the chance to write down my thoughts.  so instead of finding the right time to write, i decided to just do it.  i decided to put into words some of the things  i always wanted to say out loud.  i decided that this blog would be the ideal place to do what i have always wanted to do for so many years now.

please bear with me with my thoughts.  i hope to contribute some knowledge and insight coming from a COS perspective.  in the next few days i will be writing about a wide variety of topics from politics to social issues including those issues currently being debated in society.  you may or may not agree with me but i think it would be fun having a friendly discussion on many issues.  think of my blogs as just simply conversations among friends and new friends alike.  i'm actually quite excited!
